The 25th October was a hard decision making day for the Viennese massive. Three events on the same day, which one would they choose?

From our side at Africanlife.eu the decision came easily, being that we had to support an artists in our Features-section.

Why the Shocking Murray event on 25th? The promoter had already booked and paid for this date during the summertime without realizing that the EU Dancehall Queen event would be scheduled for the same date. It would be advisable that the African promoters try to make and schedule only one event per day in future and perhaps this would apply to the Austrian promoters as well and hopefully they too will support this.

How was the event? When Dj's started playing their tunes they elevated the experience and atmosphere amongst the crowd. Kuryol was the first performance on stage, I like him, it doesn't matter where he performs, people always come to the front of stage and enjoy his presence partying with him.

This particular evening, Easy B.'s performance was amazing. From the first time I heard Easy B, I became a fan and believe that he is one of the best Reggae artists based in Vienna. I think Easy B. could be a modern version of Burning Spear, backed with a band, real brass, backing vocals, playing deep Reggae Roots Music. Hope he finds a band soon and my dreams come true.

Shocking Murray is a righteous Rasta, calm and quiet, sometimes even shy, he always concentrated on his music and the message on how to make the world a better place.

The massive loved his famous tunes, the Dj had to rewind "pullin up" the tunes. The hit tune of the evening was definitely "Trigger". During this tune the African Community started to jump higher and higher feeling the vibe. Ending the show, Shocking Murray sang an acapella tune.
He is a great song writer and "Toasting-MC".

This event was the promoter and Dj Lion's start of their promoters tour. These 2 guys are a great team, the humility towards the artists, people and massive was very humbling. Everything seemed so detailed down to the Dj table and the decoration – lol – it was the first time that I saw the beer boxes under the laptops covered with a cloth.

Small gestures of respect, are also important factors that make an event nice!
