On the 16th of February the IAEA's 56th Anniversary Ball, featured a spectacular range of performances, including a few surprises that took place at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna. Decadence spewed in every single corner of the Venue.

On saturday, the 12th January the first reggae concert in 2013  was held. A very nice event, promoted once again by DJ Taff. We, at africanlife.eu love DJ Taff, he is the one promoter who brings roots music to Vienna. The sound systems who played before the Morgan´s came on stage, built up great vibes, Deliman was the dot of the i of perfect opening performance.

Aisha Bee from Hungary has the flair to wine and move, undoubtedly took the crown of Austrian Dancehall Queen 2012. Ten participants had the audience’s undivided attention when they took the stage, to battle for the title of Austrian Dancehall Queen 2012.

What a crazy night! The selectors and Dj´s did a wonderful job, they brought the massive to the top, maybe it was too much. Some of the individual Vienna massive couldn't handle the consumption of alcohol mixed with the original jamaican vibes.

Jam Jam, leben und leben lassen, organised by Verein Schmetterling seems to have been a great success. The line up was long and interesting, different artist braced the stage with their sounds ranging from Hip hop, Rap, RnB, and Reggae. The audience had a variety of music to listen and dance to.

Ghettoman and the Believers have been on the Reggae music scene for a few years and have now finally launched their new CD. His music resonates, lyrics echoing songs of peace and freedom. The music does not in any way associate the Reggae culture with violence, drugs and discriminative lyrics. But carries across a messages of positive vibes.
