Black Messengers Afro Band is made up of 5 talented musicians from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Kenya and Burkina Faso. Their music has been influenced by a variety of cultures. It's a fusion of African traditional music and Afro Pop, filled with harmonious singing, percussion, Kora, energetic afro moves.

Looking at South Africa, it has accomplished a great deal within its twenty years of democracy. Rising from a previously oppressive apartheid government regime, South Africa is one of many countries with an all inclusive constitution, a constitution that is not prejudice toward race, gender, sexuality, religion et cetera.

Another energy pack evening with Dancehall and the man behind the music Elephant man. Elephant Man a.k.a O'Neil Bryan from Jamaica visits Vienna and not forgetting this was his second time around. Many remember seeing him for the first time live on stage is something unforgettable.

This was the second year that the Verein Eins brought Schmäh Kontra Rassismus to Vienna. An evening filled with Cabaret, Stand-up comedy by Simplice Mugiraneza, Thomas Malirsch, Ösi Bua, Allan Kräuter, Jack Nuri, Leopold Toriser and an Acrobatic performance by the Kichanga Brothers.

Its time to take a different approach on articles and really get to the root of things when it comes to this genre of music. There so many artist that pass through Vienna and even though their all trying to achieve the same goal there is always something in particular that differentiates each one apart from the other.

Diversity, engagement and a night filled with fun and festivities, the Afrika Frühlingsball 2014, made possible by Afrika Radio TV. But before this day lots of word seemed to have gone on around town about how this years ball might turn out and despite the fact that another similar event had taken place weeks before the Afrika Frühlingsball was still on track and had an amazing attendance.

Much appreciation goes out to artist like Shurel Alicia Reynold, who believes in holding onto tradition and sharing the different art forms of dance with the world. Shurel presented the Caribbean Dance Night at Sayga something different, relaxed and entertaining.

It was in great anticipation of seeing this young musical phenomenon on stage, that we braced ourselves for the evening ahead, once again in Vienna with accompanying artist on stage, after hectic our schedules and a busy past few weeks we were glad that the day had finally arrived.

Straight out Jamaica on tour in Vienna , Garland Germaine Rowe a.k.a G Whizz came to give the Viennese massive a show. Sometimes one only wishes that artist like these would get much more support from the massive as the turn out was fine, but sometimes we need to support artist like G Whizz .

The flame kept on burning this year as the Bun Fire Squad presented Vienna with the Dub Champions Festival 2014. As our expectations of the event rose, but was quickly put to rest as soon as we set foot into the venue at WUK, the venue was full to capacity with the massive there to enjoy a night of Dub.
